Okay… so things are going to be a little out of order here, but I wanted to get these images blogged first since I had them done first. I was so honored to share in my friends’ Cory & Sarah’s joy as the welcomed a second child into their family (that is the out of order part maternity and birth sessions to follow) The Hooley’s are good friends of ours, and are in our small group at church. We live just down the street from them and have enjoyed doing life together over the last couple years, laughing, crying, shopping, you name it, we’ve done it. So I felt especially honored to photograph the arrival of their second child, sweet little Judah! It’s pretty amazing witnessing a birth, and Sarah– she is a pro, she’s the kind of mom that makes you think — oh this isn’t so bad, I could have a baby! Like I said birth pictures to follow but for now let me get sweet little Judah’s newborn session on the blog. Aren’t they such a cute little family? I was so excited to hear Meredith and Adam were expecting again, a little boy this time, I’ve said it before but this definitely seems to be the season of the boy. Oh how I love squishy, sweet, sleepy newborns. They are the perfect fix I need to tide us over until baby #2 (don’t get excited folks that’s not happening any time soon, notice I said tide me over) And man I feel like we’ve had a lot of them lately! I loved hanging with sweet little Grant, he peed and pooped on me which made me feel totally loved and he let me give him a bottle, which I think he totally loved. His parents are one of our couples from early on so it was great to see his mom, Emma, she’s such a delight. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, until then enjoy the sneak peek!

Sean & Molly are one of the couples we booked at the very very beginning of opening up shop. Their wedding was so much fun, so laid back, so sincere. We instantly loved them and have continued to hold a special place in our hearts. I was so excited to see Molly all belly at our last wedding, and even more excited to meet her sweet little girl Linley! I had a great time snuggling sweet Linley and snapping a few pics of their growing family. Congratulations friends. We are so excited for you!

I can not get over Michelle & Chip's expressions in this photo... I mean how seriously enamored with their new son do they look? Man what a beautiful family!

Michelle & Chip welcomed sweet baby Isaac into the world just a couple weeks ago. And as usual it was a huge compliment to be entrusted with his first photo session. Doubly so though in the case due to the fact that Michelle’s sister, Lisa (one of our favorite and most documented clients) asked me to travel to Indy for this session. What an awesome sister to be concerned with them getting photos enough to send me to Indianapolis for the shoot. Anyhow all this to say I love getting to be part of our clients lives. I’d met Michelle at Lisa’s wedding and now I got to see her again and meet her so squishy, so sweet, so new baby boy, Isaac. Congrats, congrats, congrats, you guys are doing great. Just remember when you feel so sleepy that you feel like a walking zombie, when you are covered in baby spit up, or are changing the worlds stinkiest diaper, look back on these photos and remember how great it was to hold Isaac just days old fast asleep in your arms, remember that feeling; it’s a great reminder of how totally worth it they are. And here’s the really cool thing— it just gets better and better!

Loved meeting this sweet little family and their adorable boys! I love hearing the random connections of ways clients find us. This family is friends with one of our very first wedding clients and Shane and April share the same hair stylist. Anyhow it was great holding, cuddling, shushing, swaying, and of course shooting this new little guy. Their family was so laid back and up for anything. They seemed amazingly well rested which left me in awe. You have a beautiful family. Thanks so much for allowing me to document this awesome time in your life. Congratulations!

I can’t believe it’s been a year already! Dawson and Ezra are super close in age which means Ezra is almost there too. So much fun to see Dawson at these many milestones, and to continue to trade stories with Lisa & Drew. Dawson is a super sweet little man can’t believe all that he’s accomplished in one year and how much more he’ll be accomplishing in a few more. Happy birthday little guy, hope this next year is as magical as the first!

There are a few families we are lucky to see once a year and then there are a couple families we have the pleasure of seeing more then once a year, and this is one of them! I feel a special bond with Lisa, because our boys are similar in a lot of ways. Our pregnancies were a lot alike, we grow amazing hunky baby boys, they had similar tummy issues, and both Dawson and Ezra had thighs that could win championships! I love seeing them and photographing them and it’s always nice to see what Dawson looks like and is doing he’s a great gauge to know what Ezra will be into next. Till the next time!
