Connie and Matt make for an adorable couple. Alone Connie is simply charming, together they are ridiculously adorable. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen so much excitement from one of our clients, which makes our job extra fun! Connie has lots of ideas and lots of enthusiasm, which means Matt is in for quite the ride. Kyle & Alyca make a super sweet couple. These two were total troopers on what was a completely dreary day, filled with moments of absolute downpour. However due to Alyca’s crazy busy schedule we decided to press on despite the rain, and I think it paid off! Congratulations to a fabulous couple, we are so excited for you as you finish up final plans for the wedding. We’ll being seeing you again before you know it!

Braye, Cory & their dogs Bella & Stella were so much fun to work with. I love that Braye spent time making the dogs their own coordinating bows so that they would match for the photos, so cute. Their dogs are total lovers, while I was laying on the ground trying to snap picture of the four of them together Bella would wander off and then just dive bomb me with love, then Stella would do the same, hilarious! Also loved that Bray made these cute little signs displaying their wedding date and she said yes! Cute idea Braye. Great meeting you in person finally we look forward to working with you again for the wedding, until then happy wedding planning!

Brooke + Brandon | Chicago engagement session

We had the windiest day in Chicago for Brooke & Brandon’s e-session. When I say windy seriously I mean windy! We went to north ave. beach and the haze you see at the bottom of the photos, yep you guessed it sand. I managed to get sand everywhere despite the hood and sunglasses I was wearing because obviously I thought it was a great idea to lay down in the sand and get a better angle (totally worth it) I was so impressed with Brooke and Brandon handling the whipping wind and gusting sand pellets with ease, just had to point out how impressive they were. Anyhow we had a blast with this lovely couple wandering around downtown Chicago. Can’t wait for the wedding next summer. Until then, enjoy the photos and this gorgeous fall we’re having.

Kelly & Josh are getting married! { Indianapolis engagement photos }

Josh & Kelly started off as lab partners and be it the test tubes, beakers or just plain chemistry these two made a perfect match. Of course we waited for an absolute heat wave for their engagement session but as you can see these two were an absolute pleasure to work with. We can’t wait for the wedding, and I know they can’t wait for their sneak peek of engagement photos so finally the wait is over!

Nicole & Kyle are recent transplants to the Fort Wayne area but are heading back home to get married next year. They tracked us down to do an engagement session and we planned it for one of the steamiest days this summer. In spite of the heat and my super lame jokes, as well as my determination to call Kyle “Evan” about 40 times throughout the day (I’m still super embarrassed by that, BTW) I think these two knocked it out of the park. We had a beautiful blue sky, a cute couple, and two enthusiastic puppies – who could want more? Congrats guys, we hope you love them and that this year flies by for you!

Rachel & Nick are getting married! {ft. wayne wedding photographer}

Rachel and Nick have known each other for a long time, as in Rachel and Nick’s sister were buddies all growing up. Who knew that their love would blossom years later with a ride to the ballpark and a tincaps game? Rachel is one of the most hilarious, high strung, super fun, full of energy, excited to be everywhere, and truly in love brides we’ve had the pleasure of photographing. That along with Nick’s laid-back, good-natured personality make these lovebirds an absolute pleasure to photograph! They took us to Nick’s family land, where we weren’t quite sure what to expect but man oh man was this place magical with the gorgeous light, lines of trees, and a perfect little pond! My favorite part though was that the tree under which they were kissing was planted by Nick and his family when he was just a kid, how cool that years later he would be there with the love of his life— all ready to get married. Congrats Nick & Rachel we are so excited for you guys and can’t wait for the wedding we know it’s going to be simply perfect.

Meet Angie & Steve. We love our Chicago couples and these two are no exception. They were great guides around town, and we even manged to get shots on the L and platform without getting kicked out by the ticket booth people – which is a first for us. This time we just ticked off a lot of cab drivers underneath the tracks. But hey, what’s being in Chicago without tasting the local cabbie flavor? We cant wait to see you again in a few short weeks and enjoy the preview.

I’ve known Brandon for several years now – we used to sling java together on the night crew, so we were thrilled when they got in touch with us to shoot their wedding. We know it’s going to be a party and that we will have a good time. The only catch is that Brandon is into photography so I feel like he’s going to be critiquing everything we do on the day of – hopefully we can live up to his expectations. Brandon an Heather are both hilarious and were great sports as we drove around trying to fulfill Brandon’s wish of finding graffiti. It was a frantic search around downtown – who knew it would be that hard to find? We finally found something that would work and made it happen. Hope you enjoy the little sneak peek guys.

Brian + Jamie {Fort Wayne Engagement Photography}

Brian & Jamie were a couple that we had to reschedule umpteen times because of all the rain. We were debating having them build an ark for the session but it turns out none of us are very good with hammers or catching wild animals. So we braved a little less than perfect weather when they drove up from Columbus starting with an indoor locale and some social lubrication. They are an adorable couple and clearly in love, but a little nervous to be in front of a lens, I think. At one point, I told them to bring the smolder and they just giggled. Yes, BTW, Brian giggles. But wouldn’t you know it they squeezed some smolder in when they thought no one was looking. Janelle was there to catch it. We loved getting to do something a little outside of our norm for them and think they turned out great. Hope you do, too, and we know we’ll have a great time in August!
