I can not get over Michelle & Chip's expressions in this photo... I mean how seriously enamored with their new son do they look? Man what a beautiful family!

Michelle & Chip welcomed sweet baby Isaac into the world just a couple weeks ago. And as usual it was a huge compliment to be entrusted with his first photo session. Doubly so though in the case due to the fact that Michelle’s sister, Lisa (one of our favorite and most documented clients) asked me to travel to Indy for this session. What an awesome sister to be concerned with them getting photos enough to send me to Indianapolis for the shoot. Anyhow all this to say I love getting to be part of our clients lives. I’d met Michelle at Lisa’s wedding and now I got to see her again and meet her so squishy, so sweet, so new baby boy, Isaac. Congrats, congrats, congrats, you guys are doing great. Just remember when you feel so sleepy that you feel like a walking zombie, when you are covered in baby spit up, or are changing the worlds stinkiest diaper, look back on these photos and remember how great it was to hold Isaac just days old fast asleep in your arms, remember that feeling; it’s a great reminder of how totally worth it they are. And here’s the really cool thing— it just gets better and better!

Loved meeting this sweet little family and their adorable boys! I love hearing the random connections of ways clients find us. This family is friends with one of our very first wedding clients and Shane and April share the same hair stylist. Anyhow it was great holding, cuddling, shushing, swaying, and of course shooting this new little guy. Their family was so laid back and up for anything. They seemed amazingly well rested which left me in awe. You have a beautiful family. Thanks so much for allowing me to document this awesome time in your life. Congratulations!

I can’t believe it’s been a year already! Dawson and Ezra are super close in age which means Ezra is almost there too. So much fun to see Dawson at these many milestones, and to continue to trade stories with Lisa & Drew. Dawson is a super sweet little man can’t believe all that he’s accomplished in one year and how much more he’ll be accomplishing in a few more. Happy birthday little guy, hope this next year is as magical as the first!

And what a fun surprise to get a call just a few days before Christmas from Jen & Daniel telling us that they had welcomed baby Jack into their lives and were in town for the holidays. So…. Yep, they are back—- our most photographed family just welcomed their latest addition, sweet baby Rowen! Three babies in the last three years, I feel like they single-handedly have kept us in business with all these babies. Honestly with as cute and sweet as they make them I don’t blame them one bit. Congratulations friends we are soooo excited for you. Hope the recovery goes well and that you settle into a fantastic new routine as a family of five.

I was soooo excited to meet this little girl. I can’t express how much we love our couples, not only is it an awesome honor to photograph their weddings, but we love to continue the journey with them as they grow their families! I was pregnant with Ezra when Amber and Chad got married so I like to think some baby makin’ luck rubbed off on them, because not even a year after getting married they welcomed sweet baby Alayna! Congrats, congrats, congrats, I’m sure you already do, but ohhh how you’re going to LOVE it!

Ohhh little Tate. He was sweet and he was very awake. Normally a newborn session consists of sleepy babies in a variety of places, possibly a basket, on a scale, snuggled in a favorite blanket etc, but baby Tate certainly had different plans for our evening. We joked that he would probably sleep through the night for the first time, which would make it all worth it, well apparently it turned out to be the case we may not have gotten snugly sleepy pictures but hip hip hooray to the longest stretch of sleep yet! Without further ado I give you Tate, a very handsome little guy, wide, wide awake.

We have been blessed in many ways since starting our business, but one of the many ways God has continued to bless us is through people we’ve met along the way. It is so interesting to me to see how God brings people together in what seems like impossibly long chains of connection, but ultimately we’re completely in His plan. Rachel and her family are one of the many ways God has poured out his continued grace on us.

We photographed her wedding I think three years or maybe it’s four years ago now. We met her for coffee at downtown starbucks and talked things over, I’m pretty sure that when she booked with us I was still working at the Journal, WOW that seems like forever ago now! Anyhow it was a beautiful wedding and I especially remember enjoying time with her family before hand photographing Rachel and her siblings.

Fast forward to July 2010 and Rachel and Sean welcome a sweet baby boy into their lives— little Harrison— HARRY! So, they called me up and I had the pleasure of photographing their new addition. I was pregnant at the time with Ezra. We chatted, enjoyed ourselves and I did my best to document their sweet baby. Little did I know that dinner and several conversations later that we would be seeing Rachel on a regular basis.

Many of you have asked what we do with Ezra while we’re working— well Rachel is just one of the people who makes what we do possible, she graciously shares her time, knowledge, love and son with Ezra several days a week making it possible for me to work on all your lovely photographs! Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us we are blessed to call you friends. And I know Harry can’t read this or even understand this sentiment right now, but thank you little man for hanging out with my buddy, showing him how to smile, growl, crawl, giggle, bang things, bump things, pretty much all things boy and for sharing your summer, your mommy and the last several months with my Ezra. Happy First year Harry, here’s to many new adventures!

I met Jenni, Deanna and their kids about 4 years ago. Their kids were one of the first sessions I ever shot. Then I shot Deanna’s oldest son’s wedding, then I shot Jenni and her family, so this summer we reunited the cousins again for an updated session. Thankfully this session was a little safer without trampolines or whips—– instead we went for a little playground adventure including all the banned and best pieces of equipment from an old school jungle gym to a merry-go-round. We survived one of the hottest days of the summer and I think came up with some great images! LOVE this idea of getting cousins together for photos. Enjoy the sneak peek ladies!

Kids always keep me on my toes but add a puppy, power wheels, a playset, and a hammock into the mix and you know I’ll definitely be hoppin’. Jody has a ridiculously cute family and her boys are absolutely full of energy. We played, we chased, laughed, rolled, rode, slid, swung, jumped and even snuck in a few smiles.
