I loved Hannah’s outfits. Such sweet little dresses and then her fun boots, can’t go wrong. Made me think think of all the cute little dresses you can get at Ruche. Despite the chilly weather it was a perfect setting at Salomon Farms, for another fabulous senior session. Hannah braved the cold and we even lucked out with a little golden light there at the end. Hope your senior year is absolutely amazing!

Erica was actually the first 2012 senior we shot for the season, however due to the overwhelming demand for her time and talent she just came in for her premiere last night. She’s been busy wrapping up volleyball season, modeling for a Vera Bradley catalog, applying for colleges, attending tennis lessons, and horseback riding, a little busy would be quite the understatement. So we were so excited to hear that she could finally come in for her premiere, and I think it was worth the wait— Oh how I love the contrast of her blonde, blonde hair against her dark horse. Hope your senior year slows down a bit, but that it is filled with fabulous memories and grand adventures!

Seth seems like a super nice guy. Shane and I were so proud when he actually knew our references to Zoolander, which totally used to be one of our go to reference points for senior guys— you know give us the blue steel. I mean it is one of the only mainstream male modeling movies that you can quote, okay it’s really the only one I can think of, but after seniors started reminding us that they were only in elementary school when that movie came out we kind of had to bag it. Thanks Seth for making us feel a little younger then we actually are, and thanks for putting up with our corny jokes. Hopefully it was all worth it, for what turned out to be some pretty sweet senior pics. Hope your senior year is amazing and that you enjoy this little sneak peek!

There are several families we truly consider to be part of our little nest. Some are our very first clients, others keep expanding their families so we get to keep getting to photograph them, others have become more then just clients and are now truly our friends, others are our hairdressers, insurance agents, babysitters, oh the list goes on and on. Well this family in my opinion is one of those families. Their oldest daughter was not necessarily one of our first seniors, but definitely one of our best seniors, not only did we have an absolute blast with her, but her session kind of helped us define what we really wanted to do with senior sessions. Then we got to photograph their entire family where I met all their lovely ladies, and their dog (who I still secretly wish was Bella’s boyfriend). What I’m trying to say is their family is the type of family that makes us LOVE what we do! I had a blast once again with these girls, my favorite is definitely the dreamy shot with the horse. Meet Taylor & Mariah. Our first set of senior twins! I’m sure they’ve had to share plenty in the past, but hopefully sharing a senior session wasn’t too bad, but actually a little bit fun. Anna is not your typical girly girl, don’t get me wrong she’s totally a lady just girly is not a word I would use to describe her. Anna is in the air force reserves, works part time at remedy fm and plays basketball at Blackhawk. We had a blast coming up with some different locations for her and I loved seeing her personality come out in these photos. We talked a lot about this being her last year at home with the parents and how someday very soon she’ll miss all the home cooked meals, laundry folding, and general loving you get at home, but right now she’s just ready to get going on the next adventure. As with all our seniors I can’t wait to see where she goes, and who she continues to become. Happy senior year Anna, enjoy every minute of it! It’ll go soooo fast.

I am so in love with all our seniors this year. We have been having a blast meeting the class of 2012. Noelle is another super sweet senior and it was a pleasure hanging out with her, her mom, and her little bro who was along for the ride. When we asked Noelle what she was drawn to as far as environments, she said natural and bright colors. We found some gorgeous flowers in bloom at the peak of the season, love that about Indiana, that the flowers linger into the early fall. Anyhow without further ado I give you a quick sneak peek of Noelle’s pics.

Every once in a while we get to work with clients who are not only confident in front of a camera but seem to really come to life in front of the camera. I would say that is totally true of Adrienne. We had such a great time with her and her mom. Not only did we have gorgeous golden light and a great setting and a perfect breeze, but we had super fun ladies to work with. I must admit it was one of the most pleasurable senior sessions to date. Thanks for coming out for your premiere today. Can’t wait to see what all you pick out.

2011 Senior Nate | Cleveland, OH Senior portraits

Nate is about my last connection to the youth culture, and my last chance to stay cool. The last of my cousins to be graduating for the foreseeable future, i have relied on him to keep me in the know about which music is hip (“can I still listen to Justin Bieber?” “Uh, no.” “No? Okay.”), what lingo I should be using (“can I still say ‘hip’?” “Uh, no.” “No? Okay.”) and for translating texting abbreviations that I don’t understand. He’s really funny, which I appreciate – our favorite joke is to not get a joke so people have to explain the joke and you keep not understanding until it becomes really uncomfortable. It’s funnier in person. He’s also a great musician (tends to run in the family) and a generally great guy. We are very proud of you Nate and hope you enjoy the last few weeks of your senior year. Congrats.
