What can I say, the Samek family kept us busy! With two little girls one 6 months and the other a four-year-old with her own big personality, add a mom and dad, one grandma, and one sweet aunt all this equals a session to keep us on our toes! Shane did a great job being absolutely ridiculous to elicit a couple smiles here and there, but seriously look at those sweet faces! Wishing you all a happy fall, it was a pleasure meeting you. It was so much fun meeting sweet baby Elias and his momma! He is such a sweetie pie of a little guy. His mom Lori and I talked all baby and meeting Elias made me even more excited to meet our little man this January! Oh— and did I mention Lori kind of has awesome taste? Here house was so ridiculously cute and she introduced me to a what I can already tell will be a new obsession, mini boden. Enjoy a quick sneak peek!

Baby Harry’s parents are former wedding clients of ours and I’ll tell you what— we’ve said it before and I’ll say it again now—- if you want kids have us photograph your wedding and about a year later tada you too will have your own little bundle of joy! This is one of the things I love about what we do, not only do we have the pleasure of documenting the start of a marriage, but often we get to continue to photographing couples as they start their families, which is absolutely awesome. Anyhow without further ado I give Harry, isn’t he sweet?

Ric and Jenni have a beautiful family! We have had the pleasure of encountering this family more than once. Last year Jenni’s sister contacted me to do a shoot with her sons and Jenni’s daughters, this year we saw the Runestads again at Jenni’s nephew’s wedding where her girls were junior bridesmaids and Molly a flower girl, so it was about time that we photographed the whole family! Their girls are so super sweet, they are the kind of girls that make you want three of your own! We had a great time with all of you hope these photos are just what you were looking for!

this is one of my FAVORITES, not just from this session but from this whole summer!

Angie has such a sweet little family. She and her husband Jerry have an awesome kid named Cobin and a dog named Wednesday (which if you look closely made it into one of these pictures) We had a blast photographing at their home as well as Cobin’s super cool school. I’ve never had a client this excited or nervous to have their pictures taken, but in my opinion there was never a reason to worry considering this family is pretty picture perfect! Nicole of Portraits by Nicole was one of the first local wedding/portrait photographers we met. We instantly liked her, the thing about Nicole is that there isn’t much not to like, everything about her personality is contagious. Earlier this year I put a shout out to our photog friends to see if anyone wanted to do a session trade– my family wanted pictures for my grandma’s 89th birthday and Nicole graciously accepted, she managed to wrangle 3 married couples, 10 month old twins, a 3 year old, and my grandma! Those photos are my grandma’s favorite thing— my mom made her a little book that she takes everywhere with her! So THANK YOU Nicole for helping give those great memories to our family but also to my grandma! All that to say I think we got the easier end of the deal. Nicole is great in front of the camera and all her boys did awesome as well! Doesn’t she just have the cutest little men? This was one of my favorite family shoots to date, not just because we got to do something a little different, but because as a photographer we spend so much time documenting other people’s lives, their big moments, their happiest days and milestones, it was such a pleasure and honor to do that for Nicole and her family— when you ARE a photographer you mostly have photos of other people’s families, other people’s moments, so it makes it extra special when you finally take the time to get some of your own! the twins are one and some summer fun : warsaw, in portrait photographer

It seems like forever since I’ve posted any photographs of our nieces…. and that’s because it has been forever. They are now walking, laughing and developing their own little personalities. This is one of my favorite stages—- when a baby’s little personality starts to emerge and a little person shows up on the scene. Anna is so laid back, laughs at everything and is super friendly, Ellie on the other hand is pretty shy and cautious, but if you watch her little eyes she’s taking in everything and when she graces you with a smile it’s pretty priceless. We went to one of my favorite places as a kid— Winona Lake, it was their first time at a lake and while it may have been a little much for the them right now, I have a feeling we’ll definitely be going back! So here’s a little slice of our lives or at least the lives of our favorite nieces.

Naomi turns ONE! | fort wayne children and baby photography

So this must be the month for little ones. We have 3 sessions for little ones celebrating their first year of life. Naomi’s family is one of our personal favorites. We shot Danielle and Brad’s wedding, Naomi at week 2, 6 months and one year. And now Brad and Danielle are expecting a son! LOVE IT! They are an amazing couple with a lot of love and laughter to give. I feel so honored to help them document these milestones. So here it is a little sneak peek from Naomi’s one year old session! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

such a sweetie pie. I've loved getting to see Naomi's different stage from snuggly baby to personality plus as a six month old and now she's toddling around and in to everything. It's a good thing we started her off in the chair while it could hold her interest for about 20 seconds!

I'm totally in love with this sweet little outfit. I think it kind of has a matilda jane feel to it, but here's the awesome part, her grandma made it! Amazing.

This is always the hardest picture to get--- okay everyone look cute- now smile!

I'd like to thank Danielle for purchasing 2 cakes, just in case. She ended up sending us home with a cake which we took to small group! thanks for sharing.

Doesn't Danielle have the cutest baby bump? She makes it look so effortless!
